Footprints In The Sand

So you meet a guy at some random party. You two hit it off numbers are exchanged, calls are made and text messages are exchanged. This goes on for about a week or so. You two go out on a date, it was cool and you had fun. The calls and the text messages increase in frequency from the previous week and y’all go out on a 2nd date. It’s equally as enjoyable as the first date, plans are somewhat made to see each other again but something goes awry the following week. The calls and text messages have decreased, the 3rd date doesn’t happened. You start to wonder what happened. Things seemed to be progressing in a positive direction and then all of the sudden things come to a shrieking halt and you have no real idea as to why this has taken place.

So you decide to call or text ol’ boy, there’s no response. No return call or text or if he does respond its hours later. So what to do you do? Well, you take your cue and fall the fuck off. You no longer contact said boy, hell you may even deleted his number. You’ve seen the movie  He’s just not that into you, so you take his behavior or lack of behavior to mean just that. He’s just not into you and you keep it moving. Yeah you may wonder what exactly you did or didn’t do or just what the fuck happened. But you brush it off and keep on trucking; you cast him to a land far, far away in your mind. Hell, two weeks later you don’t even remember him anymore. Then this happens:

(578) 222-2222 (or whatever number you don’t recognize): Hey!! What’s up with you?
You: Who is this?
Random #: It’s fill in the blank. Damn you don’t even have my # in your phone. That’s messed up. But anyway how have you been?
You: Good. But why would I have your # in my phone? We haven’t spoken in months; the real question is why do you still have mine?
Random#: Because you’re cool peoples…. So do you want to hang out sometime this weekend?
*you scratch your head in confusion, and ask yourself where dey do da at?*

Now some people’s reply to this guy’s question will vary. I know what my reply would be, to tell him to get the hell on somewhere. Some other girls would go out with him and that’s their choice but that’s not what I want to discuss. Whether you would go out with him or tell him to go fuck himself isn’t the topic at hand. What I want to talk about is; why do guys think they have such huge impacts on people’s lives?

They go out with a girl a few times, pay her a few compliments, have random but sometimes thought provoking conversations with them. They then fall off the face of the planet for weeks, months, hell sometimes years. Then they pop up like a damn poptart out of the toaster, and expect said girl to 1) remember him 2) be happy to hear from him 3) want to see him 4) expect to pick things up from where they started or 5) all the above. What the fuck???? Where do these men get these ideas from? Save by the Bell or something. There’s a disconnect here and I want to connect it like spaghetti junction.

Dude like the song says you can’t keep running in and out of people’s lives. People move on and even if that person hasn’t moved on to another person, they may have just moved on from you. Nobody is going to be sittin’ up in their room, back their thinkin’ about you and your ass. Nobody is Brandy in this situation and you’re definitely not Donald Faison, so please get your life!!! If for whatever reason you were talking to some girl and you choose to fall off and now you want to try to pop back up and talk to her again. N*gga just say that and as Kevin Hart would say, "you need to say it with your chest." I not really sure what that means but I'm assuming it means when you say something just mean what you say. I promise you’ll get a much better response, than acting like it’s a privilege that you’re even calling her phone. Oh yeah…. You’re going to have to give her a plausible explanation as to way you fell off too. Is either come correct or don’t come at all because despite what the media may say not all women are so desperate for a man. That they will take shit from any man that crosses her path. Contrary to your belief your impact on this girl’s life may not have been as significant as you thought. While you may think you may have had a deep impact on her life like the damn movie, you were more like a footprint in the sand easily forgotten.

Disappearing Acts

So does anyone else have that one friend that once they're in a relationship, you don't hear or see their ass until the relationship is in trouble or its over? Well, I know a few people like this and I have one question for them. What the hell is your problem??? I have seen people scratch that, mostly women. Although I'm sure men do it to. That when they get a new boo thing, you don't hear from their asses anymore. There's no more hanging out, going to brunch, or anything they just fall off the face of the Earth. I just don't understand this type of behavior.

I understand that when you start dating someone new its exciting and you want to spend as much time a possible with that person, and that's okay. But some people take it to the extreme and just spend all their time with their significant other. They stop doing the things they like and start doing the things their bf/gf likes. They stop hanging out with their friends and just hang out with their bf/gf. This to me doesn't seem like healthy behavior... it seems a little needy and clingy. See I'm not talking about missing a few girls night out or book club meetings. I'm talking about going two- three months without speaking to your friends. I'm talking about not know what's going on in your friends lives, expect for what's on their Facebook status. I'm not just talking about being out of the loop a little, I'm talking about being completely out of the damn circle. People who do things like this kill me because they seem not to realize they're doing such things or maybe they do but they just don't care. The thing is that your MIA friend always comes back around when their relationship goes sour and they know that you being the friend you are, you're going to welcome them back with open arms. This is the part that really pisses me off because they're abusing the friendship and just taking advantage of the fact that you're a good friend. All I can do is SMH at these kind of folks.

I never been the person to just get so caught up in someone or something that I forget all other things going on in my life. I'm not going to stop hanging with my friends because I got a man. I may not be hanging as hard and going out every weekend with them but they will still be a major part of my life. I guess I value my friendships very highly as compared to others. Then again some people aren't good at balancing things. They can't have a significant other  and still keep their friendships intact, one is going to have to fall to the wayside. But you also have those others that just completely ignore the rules of friendship and let their bf/gf dominate their lives. When they're in a relationship its all about the person they're in a relationship with. Until their sugar turns to sh!t and then they're looking at you like Humpty Dumpty wanting you their friend to put but them together again. Sigh.... my advice to people that partake in this type of behavior. Learn how to balance the people in your life. There's no need to forgot about your friends because you're in a relationship.  Just keep in mind that these people were there before your new boo but if you keep putting them on the back burner they may not be around after the relationship.

I'm Just So Unmoved

I think I have a problem when it comes to dating, this problem I speak of I'm  kind of just starting to realize its a problem or I've just admitted to myself that maybe a problem.  I realized this when I saw Rhianna's latest video, in the video she was totally into this guy. The highs (although some of the highs seemed to be chemically induced) and the incredible lows of love were all on display, they were in the moment and felt all of those moments.  She's ALL THE  WAY INVESTED in the relationship.

Well that ain't me and has been me in a long time, my experience is more like this video. Daria....., sigh this is my dating life. Going through life and various experiences and just being generally unmoved by the whole thing. Look this b!tch is reading the newspaper at a basketball game, she refuses to get involved at all and that's how I feel 98% of the time when it comes to dating. I just don't emotionally invest in dating and dealing with dudes, I'm romantically tapped out. Do I get emotional (no Carl Thomas)? Yes, I get upset and pissed off all the damn time. I'm invested in the things I care about like my family, friends and my career. But when it comes to dating I'm chilling like Daria. I'm more likely to get upset that Glee didn't come on because of the World Series or they effed up my coffee order at Starbucks, than if some guy didn't call back like he said he would. Look at Rhianna in the video she's in the middle of nowhere in a mud-pit with her boyfriend. I rather not, well at least not with any man I've dated or I'm currently dating. I'm there if that's where my friends are, otherwise you're going to have to count me out. Anyhoo, even when I'm talking to a guy or on a date with one, I'm thinking about other things. Like I'm wondering if the new issue of Harper Bazaar came in the mail or why Jennifer Lopez thinks we believe she's driving around in the Bronx in a Fiat... girl bye. Okay, I'm digressing again. I shouldn't be thinking about those things, should be trying to get to know this person, right? But at last that doesn't happen. Lately I can't muster up the energy to actively participate in dating and it most definitely takes two people to date, I'm just out there half assing it. I'm doing things like meeting guys, grabbing their attention (which I actually enjoy) and then once they want my number or to go out I turn into Daria. Once they want more from me than what's number and my sign, I'm like no thanks. I'm out here catching and releasing dudes.  I feel like dating just takes too much energy and I'm so about the 20% energy iPhone life right now. I just can't seem to put forth that much effort right now. I rather have a smooth seat somewhere, watch Head of the Class and go drinking with my friends. Than to sit in some restaurant and listen to some man talking about why The Blueprint was Jay-z's best album or whatever the f*ck. I don't feel like telling some man about why I didn't go to a HBCU or the story of my life, in short I guess I don't feel like dating. Well, I at least don't feel like doing the initial stages of dating and you have to go through that part to get to the relationship part.

I'm not exactly sure what my problem is or if this is even a problem (it probably is). I'm not sure when this happened or how to change this behavior. Maybe I've met one too many bamas and they've left me disenchanted and jaded. Then again maybe I've allowed myself to feel this way. I keep thinking that a Michael Ealy look-alike is going to show up and shake me to my core. I know that's pretty much never gonna happen because that's not real life, but a girl can dream, right? Maybe this is a phase or maybe it isn't. All I know is that I just can't participate in all the fuckery that goes on in dating right now. I'm a firm believer in showing up and showing out and putting your best foot forth, but nowadays I'm showing up unprepared and just not giving a f*ck. Oh, so and so didn't call back or his trippin'. It's cool I'm going to eat wings and drink bud lights with my friends and have fun. That's where my head is at and that just isn't my style when I'm in regular mode. The last couple of guys I've dealt with said they couldn't get a good read on me, that I was very nonchalant and unbothered about our situation. They were exactly right, I couldn't put it better than that. That's how I felt about them and about dating in general. So I think I'm just cool out on the sidelines and drink a Hi-C juice box and let y'all have at this game of dating for awhile because I'm being very much like Lebron in the 4th quarter....  just non-existent.

They Don't Date No More

So there seems to be this new phenomenon that's been going on for the past couple of years in game of dating. What is this thing I speak of? Well people actually aren't going on dates anymore. Think about it when was the last time you actually went on a proper date with a guy you just met? I'm not sure about everyone else but it's been a hot little minute for me. When I say a proper date, watching him play Madden at his homeboy's house doesn't count. I'm talking about one of those DJ Tanner from Full House dates. I mean he picks you up at your house or you meet him somewhere (because dudes are crazy nowadays and you can't just let anybody up in your house, stalking is real on these streets. Seen Law and Order: SVU lately?) Y'all go to a public place, i.e. a restaurant, a movie, or doing some kind of activity and there are other people around.

These dudes nowadays want to come over to your house, order a pizza, and watch Boardwalk Empire on your couch (because you have premium channels and he doesn't). Boy stop it, I say!! What the f*ck part of the game is this? So you really want to come over to my place, watch TV, and eat pizza? Is this suppose to be a date and a first date at that sometimes? What makes a man think this is acceptable, can somebody explain this to me? Actually a better question is, what basic ass heffas have been letting these men think this swindle okay?  Under the pretense of "oh baby I just want to spend some time together, why does it matter where we go"? Because n#gga it matters! I want to round these girls up and bitch slap them back to reality because they are f*cking it up for everybody else.

Now to the men that thinks this sh!t is acceptable, I am here to tell you right here and now that sh!t isn't gonna fly anymore. Nor, is asking a girl to come over to your house either. All this coming over to somebodies house and watching a movie and cooking dinner has got to stop. Unless you have a Tyler Perry size movie theater in you house and you are having a private screening of a movie with at least 10 other people there or Bob Flay is throwing down in your kitchen. Coming to your house isn't a date, so stop calling it that and call it what it really is hanging out. What really kills me, is when a woman declines this wack ass excuse of a date, dudes really get mad  and confused by why a girl wouldn't want to spend time with him at his house or her house. First of all its a comfort and safety issue, most women aren't gonna feel comfortable or safe in private quarters with a man she just met at the gas station 10 days ago. Sh!t, that's how people get raped and thrown into the river. Safety first, so when that same girl comes to your house on a first date and pepper sprays your ass for being a little too touchy-feely don't be surprised.

So men stop asking women to come over to your place or if you can come to her place in the initial stages of dating. You're not Teddy Pendergrass and nobody is going to come and go with you over to your place, that mess isn't cute. Stop doing this sh!t, so that awkward conversations don't need to happen or you don't get cussed out. If you perceive a young lady you like not to be a $2 hoe, than don't come at her with some $2 hoe bullsh!t. Don't have her reject your offer of a "date" like Mutombo and get your feelings hurt. Nobody is saying spend half your check taking out a woman on a first date, we all know its a recession. But damnit ain't nobody trying to sit up in your funky ass apartment and watch First 48 either. There's gotta be a middle ground, so find it and stay there please.

Appearances Are Everything

So to piggyback of the post from the other day, "He wasn't man enough for me". Let's talk about the real reason the men you want aren't approaching you with the velocity you would like. It isn't because he's intimidated by your beauty, brains, or success. Please got those thoughts all the way up out of here. Its not like you're Ray J and you're rolling with the money team with 5- 7 Rolls Royce's outside. No boo, that's not the case. As I have stated before if a man likes you or what he sees, he's going to step to you point blank period. The reason he's choosing that girl over you is because you have too much red tape ma'am.

What exactly does that mean? Well men are a lot more simple than you think they are. They see you the girl with the beauty, brains, and success but they also see the girl that's guarded, stuck on herself, and just too damn difficult. Now this may not really be the case. You actually maybe a real down to earth girl, that prefers chicken and beer over roasted lamb and merlot. Well his ass doesn't know that, all he knows is that you look like a lot work. Just too much energy that he just isn't willing to invest in. So what does he do? He goes with the easier opinion, the easy, breezy, cover girl at the other end of the bar.  Now she could be the girl that's gonna give him more headaches than a little bit, be more difficult than Brittany from Glee trying to get a passing grade in algebra. But he doesn't know that and he stepped to her over you, why? Because of appearances.

Sometimes, shit most of the time life is all about appearances, Ms. Covergirl looks like she's having a good time. Like she won the lottery and sleep with Idris Elba all in the same night. You on the other hand look like your tampon is stuck in a place it shouldn't be.  It's too crowded in the spot, your feet hurt, and the drinks suck. Ms. Covergirl knows this and feels the same why you do but differences is, she doesn't give a f#ck or she appears not to. You on the other hand are vocal about your unhappiness, what man is going to approach that? Not very many, so he moves on to the next girl. She may not be as hot or smart as you but she has one thing you're lacking, the appearance that she has all these things. Now I'm not saying go around smiling like a jackass all the damn, but if you want to be approach than look approachable. Its that simple. Yeah more throw a dudes are gonna talk to you but so are the dudes you may actually want to approach you. The choice is yours but if what you've been doing isn't working, trying something else couldn't hurt.

Shady Queens

Thinly veiled cattiness or shade gets on mind last nerves, I can't stand it!! If you have something to say, than say it point blank, plain, and simple. Don't sit around and pussyfoot around things, say what you mean and mean what you say. People who do things like this, usually do it under the guise of a joke. Such as "oh that's the outfit you brought it's a little too Wednesday Adams for me". Then when you side-eye that ass, her reply " I was just playing, lol". No the fuck you weren't but when somebody snaps back. The it was a joke card is always played. Chile you need to have an everlasting back seat.

Look I try to be the type of person that is a "tell it how it really is" with slice apple pie on the side (because otherwise you're just being mean). If your hair is looking crazy I'm gonna tell you. If I think your new boyfriend is gay, I will say so. I'm not going to let you walk out of the house with a wet bird's nest on your head because that makes not only you look crazy but me too because I'm out with you. Nor will I say nothing while you date a men who I think is gay. Only to have you looking like Terry McMillan on Oprah's couch, talking about I had no idea he was gay. five months later. That just makes me a bad friend (but I'm also not the person to keep harping on issues either). The thing is when people are catty in this way, they never think people are going to say anything back to them. Why?? Idk, may they think the people they're shading are cowards like they are. So when people do snap on their asses, they are soooo taken aback, they're really shocked someone would even come back at them because a lot of folks don't. Look I'm not that girl. I will read your ass like a high school student reading The Great Gatsby for a book report.

For example at my old job, I had gotten my hair done over the weekend (like Kandi from the RHOA), well I guess my hair was not to one of my coworkers liking. She walks up to me in the break room at lunch and loud as ever says, "Someones's hair is looking wild today"and proceeds to give me the stank face. Now I normally wouldn't have done what I did at work but she really pissed me off, so I went in on her.  I'm looking at this old wrinkled up raisin of a woman, who's hair looks that of a matted, dirty ass dog. So I say to her " well I guess maybe today it does but yours looks wild everyday, what's your excuse".  She gives me a blank stare and says what? You guessed it, "It was just a joke". I told her well we ain't friends so don't joke with me, heffa. The moral of the story is don't throw shade and expect shade not to be thrown back at you and usually twice as hard as you threw it.

Who You Callin A B!tch

Let's face it we've all been called a b!tch at some point in ours lives, whether it was to our face or behind our backs. These words have been uttered about us, some woman or man has called us a b!tch as way to insult us, and used this word as a means to demean us.

Well, today I'll like to explore the usage of this word. When someone is called a b!tch its more than likely because said person has stood up for themselves in some fashion. They don't let people walk all over them, they are nobody's doormats, they speak up for themselves if they feel like they've been slighted. As Andre 3000 said "Yo, we take no sh#t like, like ummm, stopped up commodes".  If all these things makes a person a b!tch, well where's the sign up sheet because this is a team I want to be part of. What really kills me is that how a woman can be called a b!tch because she has a no- nonsense attitude but if a man has the same attitude he's just aggressive. Negative connotations aren't placed on men who behave in the same way as women who are seen as b!tches. Although those men are at times seen as jerks and a$$holes. Is it fair? No, but hey life isn't fair now is it.

Now there is also a big difference between being seen as a b!tch and being b!tchy. A b!tch as I've already described just doesn't take sh#t or puts up with anybody's crap. Being b!tchy on the other hand is a little different. They're kind of nags, they complain about everything, they're never satisfied, and they're really not that much fun to be around. So being a b!tch doesn't necessarily make a person b!tchy and vice versa. All I want to say is that maybe being deemed as a b!tch shouldn't be seen as such a negative thing. So the next time someone calls you a b!tch, you shouldn't be ready to go off on that person. Just tell the person that's fine I'll be a b!tch.

You're So Vain

Anyone who knows me in real life knows that I'm very girly and pretty much a cosmetic junkie, and to an extent I'm kind of vain, I'm very much into my outward appearance. Now my vanity isn't to the point were I'm always in the mirror, saying mirror on the wall who's the prettiest of them all or I'm trying to take glamour shot pictures all the time. I just take pride in my appearance. I like to look good and put together, I don't like leaving my house looking like yesterday's trash, I'm sorry sue me if you think that's wrong.

So when I see people out and about looking like Ke$ha (that girl looks like she hasn't bathed since 2005), and waking up in the morning feeling like P. Diddy and brushing their teeth with a bottle of Jack. My soul weeps a little, I'm throughly confused and baffled by this behavior. I'm not suggesting that everybody goes around looking like they just stepped out the pages of Vogue and GQ (although this is what I'm going for, but hey that's just me). But I'm gonna need you to do the basics and stop going around looking like a shiny turd and like you just completely gave up on life.

As if this air of glibness about  these folks appearances isn't bad enough, some people attitudes about their absolute lack of fashion and overall outward presentation, is plain irritating. Case in point Royce from Basketball Wives. Now idk if you watched this show but basically for the whole season Royce decided not only to dress like Susie Carmichael from the Rugrats, she also chose to wear everything from the bottom bin at the Dress Barn. Just dreadful, I say. First of all this chick is like 30, so why she chooses to go around looking like all her clothes came from The Limited Too, is beyond my comprehension.

Ladies (and gentlemen too) after a certain point even if you can fit the clothes in your 13 year old sister's closet, doesn't mean you should wear them. Wearing Justin Bieber t-shirts and Wet Seal booty shorts isn't the business, let that ish go. You can't go out to the club/bar or wherever with your new Jay's, ripped jeans, and a wife beater on and possibly think you're dressed up. Girl...... please get it together, quick fast and in a hurry.

Now on top of Royce going around dressed like a 10th grader, she also felt the need to point out that she didn't need to be decked out in Gucci and gold to catch a man. As she so eloquently pointed out on the reunion show, when she was arguing with Evelyn (if you didn't watch the reunion please do, because this argument had to the funniest thing I've seen on TV in a while). I also learned from Royce this little titbit  "if you can't make your leg touch your ear, you ain't sh!t in the bedroom", I almost died when she said this right here I'm literally laughing as I type this.  Lawd this chick, well I guess me and a lot of other women ain't sh!t in the sheets.

Okay back to matter at hand, this child felt the need to go around on national TV looking like a rag doll and when she wore that wet and wavy crap with her hair, it looked like a wet poodle was on her head. Her clothes looked like she picked them up on the off ramp of a highway, along with some oranges, Gucci Mane's latest cd, and season 3 of Martin on bootleg. She was mess a hot ragged a$$ mess it was as if she forgot the cameras were going to be there.

Her justification for her ratchet ways, according to her was she didn't need to get glammed up like the rest of them heffas to pull dudes. Hey, I'm not knocking this girls hustle if she wants to go around looking like Lisa Turtle circa 1988, that's fine but don't be going around acting holier than thou because other girls don't want to look like they're stuck in the 80's. Saying that other girls are superficial, vain, and conceited because they give a damn about the way they look, is just wrong. There's an old saying, " If you can't fly, then don't go shooting someone out of the sky".  What Royce was doing was taking shots. Look if you feel like you don't need makeup, fancy clothes, a perm/weave or whatever to get men or to feel beautiful, then good for you but don't come off as your better than me or the woman like me, that's into makeup, fashion, and hair because you feel like that's what we got to do to get a man. Cause all we have to offer him is our outward appearance, that's far from the case this is the ish I like and I'm doing this for me. I'm not knocking you because you want to rock rough and tough with your afro puffs, so don't knock me because I like diamond and pearls and all the things in between.

Makes You Feel So Damn Unpretty

I'm sure by now some of you have heard about Rush Limbaugh's comments about Michelle Obama's physical appearance, here's the link to those who haven't http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/02/21/rush-limbaugh-michelle-obama-food_n_826092.html. What he basically said was that the first lady is unfit to be the spokesperson for our youth because she doesn't not so good eating habits and she's not the slimmest slim jim in the box. WTF!!! Statements like this makes me want to throw my laptop against the wall. First of all Rush Limbaugh looks like he hasn't missed a meal sine 1987 and he has the nerve to call somebody unfit, chile please.  There are no words in the english language to describe how much I despise this man and that these recent comments has just exacerbates my dislike for him, I just wish he would go somewhere and stfu (shut the f@ck up).

See the first thing someone would say to defend him would be, oh but he didn't call her fat and yes those words didn't actually come out of his mouth but that's what the hell he meant. When he says this :  “I’m trying to say that our First Lady does not project the image of women that you might see on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, or of a woman Alex Rodriguez might date every six months or what have you. This literally makes my want to slap the sh#t out of him, this man is nobody's Brad Pitt not even in his best days. What really makes me mad about this statement, is not the fact the man who said looks like porky the pig himself, its that this outrageous claim affects the way  some women view themselves. In my opinion Michelle Obama is not fat at all, she's a normal size just like most women in this country. You want to know what's not a normal size? The girls on the SI cover (and this isn't a diss to them) so when a man says some bs like what said Rush Limbaugh, what is the normal size woman suppose to think about this?

This way of thinking that Rush Limbaugh is demonstrating, is exactly why women have low self body images of themselves and why some are bent over toilet right now throwing up last night's dinner. This is why women are going to back alley plastic surgeons to get butt and boob implants or they're running on the treadmill damn near to the point where they're about to pass out. They're doing all these things and so much more to chase this impossible image of beauty/perfection that society or people like Rush Limbaugh are putting out there. Well, I'm here to say enough is enough. Women are literally killing themselves to look like these women on magazine covers, like the girl who died earlier this year while getting butt implants. Now I didn't know this young lady, but I'm pretty sure she wanted butt implants because that's what's hot in the streets, a phat azz. Her regular booty wasn't bring all the boys to the yard, so decided to super size that thing to get the attention from men that she wanted. This whole way of thinking right here my friends is a damn shame. What the magazines and the people pushing these images don't tell you is, half of these women don't look like that in real life and the other half that do they've gone through hell and high water to do so. They have a team of people to create this image, there's a trainer, a nutritionist, a cook, and a whole host of other folks. They're in the gym 4 hours a day. What normal woman, working a normal job with normal responsibility has the time or the means to create the same images on these magazines? I'm thinking not too many, the models on other hand can because that's their job. Their 9-5 is just that, to be thin and beautiful.

I really wish people like Rush Limbaugh would stop going around spewing damn near unrealistic body images to women, when they are very much less than perfect themselves. This is a major problem in our community, how women view their own self body image compared to the ones they see on TV and magazines, and the links they go through to reproduce these images. So when people directly or indirectly call normal size woman fat, I just want to kick my chair and throw it out of the window. Just because someone isn't a size 2 doesn't mean they are fat  (now if you're a size 22, that's a different discussion) and when more people realize this the better off we'll all be.

What About Your Friends?

The other day I over heard my brother and his friend talking and his friend said that he's really feeling his new girl because she doesn't roll with too many girls. Men, if you ever meet a girl and she says she doesn't hangout with a lot of females or doesn't have any female friends, you better run for the hills because that girl is trouble. Now some of her reasons for saying such foolishness are that females are catty and keep up drama blah blah blah... I'm calling bs on that line of thinking because honestly men and women both do this these things.

The truth is when a women says things like that. Its not that she doesn't like hanging out with other women. Other women don't like hanging out with her. And its usually for these reasons: 1) she's a b*tch   2) she's a h*e or 3) she's both. All this talk about how she was always a tomboy and just feels more comfortable around guys is just to cover up the fact that other women don't like her. And I'm not even saying that these girls are sleeping with any of their male friends because that may not be the case. There's something deeper going on here. See we all need friends from the same and opposite sex, there are different thing you get out of each friendship. So if you meet someone who only hangs out with people of the opposite sex, they're  missing out on a whole other part of friendship that males aren't able to give because males and females function differently with their friends.

Another thing that baffles me when I come across women like this is that most of the time these women are just as catty and full of drama as the women they claim they can't be friends with. I just don't get how a woman can live on this planet for 20+ years and not come across at least 1-2 other women she can call her friend (and your sisters or cousins don't count). This just leads me to believe that you my dear, have a serious character flaw in your personality that other women just can't deal with. I'm not saying that girls need the whole female cast of "For Colored Girls" as her friends because that's sometimes a recipe for disaster as well. To the men that thinks that a girl not having any female friends is a great thing, you're playing yourself because more often or not this woman doesn't get along with people in general. And eventually that's going to include you.
